The Training HIVE Format

This is a brief overview of On Your Feet’s virtual training format.

In these Highly Interactive Virtual Experiences (HIVEs) people connect, learn, and constantly experience the concepts.

Length of training HIVEs are usually 2 hours.

The Warm-Up

Within the first minutes we have a collective shared experience that engages the participants and lays the foundation for what comes next.

The Big Middle

Next, we deliver modules lasting about 20 to 30 minutes where people learn a tool with experiences, practice, and science.

We do this with activites like:

  • interactive templates

  • crowdsourcing

  • storytelling

  • physical movements

  • tactical breakouts

  • gamification

The big shift in going virtual is constant interactive, with absolutely no lag in the big middle. This works well with peoples’ shorter attention spans when participating online.

We work with most teams to break apart larger trainings across multiple days into sets of training HIVEs. The sessions are also really fun and out of the ordinary, so it gives employees something to look forward to.

The End

We finish with a recap and a final collective experience, often a way for people to connect with and celebrate one another.

Participants are then given a take-away toolkit that directly references the experiences they just had.
