  • Explore the future of working together and design

What They Said

“I want to thank you for the wonderful experience you gave my team and me in LA. This was groundbreaking for a team that has been through so much.”

Sahar ElGuindy, Senior Director, Catalyst Brand Marketing at Nike

On Your Feet has a 20-year history with Nike

Nike has asked On Your Feet for help in a variety of areas, including communication, diversity and inclusion initiatives, executive coaching, learning and development program design and implementation, conference design, and ideation facilitation.

Through this trusted partnership, On Your Feet gets to connect with great people at Nike—like the focus of this case study, the Catalyst Brand and Los Angeles Nike teams.

What Was Asked

Help two Nike teams come together to connect and develop a new vision for the future

These Nike teams had multiple needs to address. On a human level, they first needed to connect emotionally after experiencing so much change since the beginning of 2020. Additionally, they needed to find truly new ways to work together and develop new ways to innovate for the athlete through their design work at Nike.

What We Did

An ACE retreat in the hills of Los Angeles that was full of purpose and humanity

This event involved fun activities like “Snowball Fight” and “Story of Your Name” as well as deep discussions facilitated with the improvisational techniques of “Pillars” and “Object Storm.” There were also moments of learning about the science of belonging and creativity and the philosophies of “values in action” and “improv mindset.”

What Happened

The teams left feeling connected and having gained clarity about the future

The teams had the full ACE experience by

  • Acknowledging what had happened personally, at Nike, and in the world

  • Connecting as individuals and as teams

  • Exploring ways to work better together in the future

What They Said

“The need to connect IRL and to bring the humanity back to the work was so needed—and it was felt at our offsite, thanks to On Your Feet.”

Tim Ramirez, Senior Director, Brand Marketing at Nike
