There certainly is no shortage of models for leadership, strategy or change. As we were writing this, we Google'd "leadership models" and it took .19 seconds to find 16,700,000 references. What interests us the most is that area that hovers in that gray zone between control and non-control (only 491 Google references on this particular phrase). We work with clients on developing strong, empowered leadership systems, individual leaders, and powerful living strategy processes instead of dusty strategic planning binders full of 10-point type.

The Hothouse Project: a leadership development series

Authentic leaders know who they are. They are not cookie cutter and they have exquisitely high self-awareness of their strengths, their impact on others, what they need to work on, and the difference between perception and reality. They see how their life experiences have shaped who they are, and they keep learning from life as they go along. We help them become laser-like communicators, cultivate Buddha-like self-awareness, become deeply aligned, lightning-like executors, and cultivate expertise at resolving conflict.

To grow skill in these areas, we draw on best practices from a range of behavioral and business areas to create new tools. All experiential. All high-impact. You'll be able to put these ideas into practice as soon as you walk out the workshop door. Most are ridiculously fun; a few, quite serious and reflective.

Leadership doesn't happen in a day. The Hothouse Project is a 6-month program that starts with a personal dash-boarding session and a two-day intensive launch, then continues with monthly half-days-plus-dinner.

Living strategy and leading change

Our long-term change work takes an emergent approach, helping leaders identify a vision for the change they want, then effectively engage others in strategy development and skill building. We use a do-learn-adapt cycle (combining workshop sessions with real world application) so leaders and their teams can learn from what really happens, then adjust and evolve their efforts as they go along. Steps along the way often include vision development, market and business strategy work, redefining processes and ways of working, cultural evolution, role clarification, decision making norms and individual leadership development. Because this work is so highly customized, please call us; a real human being is a much better thinking partner than a website.
